The Best School Of Garuda Scout

SMP Negeri 1 Purwakarta received an award as the best institution in producing Garuda Scouts. The award was given on January 14, 2025. SMP Negeri 1 Purwakarta earned this recognition for successfully producing ten Garuda Scouts in one year.

Garuda Scouts represent the highest rank in the scouting system, including Cub Scouts, Scouts, and Rover Scouts. Garuda Scouts are regulated under the Keputusan Kwartir Nasional Gerakan Pramuka Nomor 038 tahun 2017 on the Guidelines for the Implementation of Garuda Scouts. To become a Garuda Scout in the Scout rank, students must go through various levels, namely Ramu, Rakit, and Terap, and must also fulfill at least ten Special Skill Requirements (Syarat Kecakapan Khusus or SKK). After that, students can register as Garuda Scout candidates with the local Scout Branch Council (Kwartir Ranting).

After submitting an application and meeting all administrative requirements as a Garuda Scout candidate, students must undergo various tests, such as written exams, interviews, and other competency tests over several months. The students from SMP Negeri 1 Purwakarta who passed and earned the title of Garuda Scout include Ricky Farakhan Akbarwant Mohtar, Brillianty Yusar Nurjanah, Hafizza Althanauri, Zaura Syahwari Nurwenda, Salsabila Husna, Anjani, Tabina Nurfathinah, Vania Ayudia, Hanum Kirana Putri, and Aqila Nurul Annisa.
