Hundreds of selected students who are candidates for the Student Council (OSIS) and Student Representative Council (MPK) participated in the Basic Student Leadership Training (LDKS). This event lasted for two days and one night, specifically on February 21-22, 2025. The training was conducted due to the end of the previous Student Council's term. Additionally, LDKS was designed to prepare students to carry out their responsibilities as organizational leaders effectively while also shaping strong character and leadership qualities.
Through this program, students were equipped with essential skills and knowledge to manage an organization. One of the topics presented was organizational management, delivered by Mr. M. Syarif, S.Pd. In this session, students learned about the benefits of being part of an organization, how organizations function, and the systems that support their sustainability. This material provided valuable insights for students to understand the dynamics and responsibilities of leadership within an organization.
Regarding leadership, Mr. Yayan, S.Pd., introduced students to the qualities that a leader must possess, such as integrity, effective communication, and decision-making skills. Moreover, they learned about the strategic role of a leader in guiding a team and achieving common goals. This session inspired students to start cultivating leadership qualities within themselves.
Equally important, organizational administration was taught by Mrs. Delina, S.Pd., who guided students on how to manage documents and maintain proper administrative procedures. Meanwhile, Mr. Agus Sutrisna delivered a session on marching drills (PBB), where students practiced discipline and teamwork. These two topics formed a fundamental basis for students to execute their organizational duties in a structured and orderly manner.
The spiritual aspect was also an essential focus of the LDKS. Mr. U. Tajudin, S.Ag., delivered religious teachings not only through lectures but also by engaging students in activities such as Quran recitation. This session aimed to strengthen students' moral values and faith as a foundation for ethical leadership and personal development.
To help students explore their potential, they participated in a Group Dynamics session led by Mr. Atep Yogaswara, M.Pd. In this session, they learned how to collaborate within a team and understand the roles of each member. Additionally, a Mental Development session conducted by Mr. Nanang Munawar, S.Pd., helped students build mental resilience and maintain a positive attitude when facing challenges. Both sessions enriched students' understanding of the importance of collaboration and personal strength.
Between the sessions, students also took part in various activities that fostered camaraderie, such as communal meals, sports, and group games. These activities were designed to enhance teamwork, managerial skills, and friendships among students. With the diverse experiences gained, LDKS became a valuable opportunity for future OSIS and MPK leaders to grow into competent and integrity-driven leaders.
