Weather Plan Update:

After keeping a close eye on the forecast, it's looking a little tricky weather-wise for Saturday. Because of this, here is our weather plan:

1. We will make a decision to either delay or cancel by 6:00 AM Saturday morning. Please don't leave to travel before that. We will update you the following ways:

-email

-REMIND (sign up by texting admied to 81010)

-contest website

-IHSSA.org website

2. If the weather is bad, we may decide to delay the start time to 10:00. We would again look at the weather and make another decision by 8:30 AM if we'd need to delay it until Noon or to postpone the event. Please don't start to travel until 8:30 in the case of a delay. If you are running late to the contest site, please know we will work your performers in. In the case that you having a special request that needs to be finished by 10:00, please contact me and I can explain our options.

3. If we do need to postpone the event, our make-up date is Thursday, February 28th starting at 3:00. We would try to open more centers and make this contest go as quickly as possible if this is our option.

4. Your district has the right to not travel if you (or your administration) believe it is not safe to travel. If we decide to host contest and you cannot travel due to weather, you can try to find another site to go to (if they've postponed to next week) or hire your own certified judge to just judge your own performers. If you decide to hire a judge, you will be responsible for getting your division I report to me ASAP so I can move that to the State Contest.

With all of that being said, Saturday evening weather is also looking precarious. Based on that, I think it's in the best interest to run a "no oral comments" contest to help speed up the centers. I'd also be willing to open up more centers if any coaches who judge (or have previously judged) would be willing to help out. Let me know!

As always, feel free to message me if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your flexibility!
