Things you'll need for Summer Band: 

• Water Jug (Preferably a good-sized one - like a half-gallon. It's a hot Texas summer and we will be outside for 2+ hours. Plan accordingly.)

• Cap/Visor (not mandatory but would be helpful) 

• Instrument and your music/flip folders (flip folders will be provided by the school on the first day of summer band)

• Athletic clothes and shoes 

  • • Tennis shoes, running shoes, whatever you call them, wear those - no sandals, no slippers, no crocs (at least while outside, you can change when we go indoors)

    • We will be stretching and moving, so wear some comfortable athletic style clothing but please ensure that your clothing is deemed as school appropriate. Any clothing that is deemed as inappropriate (according to ADISD student code of conduct) will be asked to change or be sent home.

• UIL PHYSICAL (this is necessary for all athletic activities and marching band is an athletic activity) if you have already turned in your physical to your coaches that is fine, just be sure to inform the band directors so we can check you off the list.

• A willingness to try (it's okay to struggle and make mistakes. It's not okay to refuse to make an effort) 

• Readiness to learn
