2026-2027 School Calendar
Dear A.D. Henderson & Florida Atlantic University High School Faculty and Staff,
I hope you are enjoying a relaxing and well-deserved summer. Whether you're traveling, spending time with family and friends, pursuing personal interests, or simply enjoying a slower pace, I hope this time has provided an opportunity to recharge before another exciting school year begins.
While there is still plenty of summer left to enjoy, I wanted to share a few important updates and resources to help you prepare for the start of the 2026–2027 school year.
As we look ahead to a new year, I am excited about the opportunities before us. Every school year brings a fresh start, new goals, new students, and new possibilities. Together, we will continue building on our successes while remaining focused on what matters most—providing exceptional experiences and opportunities for every student we serve.
Pre-planning week will begin on Monday, August 3, 2026. We will kick off the school year with our opening faculty meeting in the auditorium at 8:00 a.m. Breakfast will be available in the cafeteria beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Childcare for faculty and staff children will be available Monday, August 3 through Friday, August 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Please be sure to send your child with lunch and snacks each day, as meals will not be provided. Please note that childcare will not be available on Monday, August 10.
Attached, you will find the pre-planning schedule, which includes important meetings, events, and activities for the week. You will also find the 2026–2027 supplement and stipend flyer outlining opportunities to sponsor clubs, sports, and activities that help enrich our students' experiences beyond the classroom. We are grateful for the many ways our faculty and staff contribute to the life of our school.
As part of our preparations for the new school year, I am also sharing the 2026–2027 Arrival and Dismissal Coverage Schedule and Arrival and Dismissal Procedures. Please take a few moments to review these documents carefully and ensure you are familiar with your responsibilities and the expectations for our operational routines. If you notice any concerns, conflicts, or opportunities for improvement, please let me know as soon as possible so we can make any necessary revisions before students return.
For those of you with children attending A.D. Henderson University School or FAU High School, I have also attached a brief presentation outlining expectations for faculty and staff who serve in the dual role of both employee and parent. While many of these expectations are familiar, balancing both roles can sometimes be challenging. Please take a few minutes to review the presentation and let me know if you have any questions.
For those who would like to get a head start on annual requirements, the 2026–2027 Policy Review, Training, and Compliance Checklist is now available. All faculty and staff are required to complete the reviews and submit the acknowledgment form by Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Once completed, please submit the Policy Review & Compliance Acknowledgment Google Form.
I am looking forward to welcoming everyone back in August and beginning another great year together. Enjoy the remainder of your summer, and thank you for everything you do for our students, families, and one another.
With appreciation,
- Lauren Robinson
