About

The Adelson School Library is the heart of our campus. An intimate and welcoming space that offers over 30,000  physical titles as well as hundreds of thousands of digital materials through our online catalogue,  we are located on the ground floor of the Upper School building, room 111.

The first Campus Library was located in what is now the Startup Incubator space, and in 2016, the library collection was repurposed to fit the needs of our student population, and was moved downstairs into this new space. As technology and maker culture was born out of the offerings of libraries, we value the opportunities that the Incubator offers our school community, and continue to partner with the Incubator on projects including podcasting, book trailers, and spoken word/poetry projects.

Lower School students, grades JK-5th grade, visit the library regularly to browse and check out books, as well as for mini-lessons on topics that supplement the units that they cover with their homeroom teachers. In terms of our Upper School students, whether they are interacting with friends and recharging during Pride Period, getting homework completed, reading independently or with others, participating in clubs, conducting research or printing work for class, our Upper School students enjoy a variety of opportunities that the Library offers.

Special programming that occurs annually in the Campus Library includes NV Reading Week, Slam Poetry Week, the Literary Magazine, Battle of the Books, Creative Writing and Improv clubs, among others.
