About Hands on Art
Our art program is provided by South Bay Hands On Art. Their projects are based on local or historic artists and provide exposure to diverse styles and techniques.
During lessons, students are taught about the artist, style and technique, then recreate an artistic piece of work that reflects their own personal style and creativity. Students have the option to attend Hands on Art lessons during regular PE class time.
Volunteer are needed throughout the year. Docents attend workshops provided by South Bay Hands on Art to learn about individual projects and then teach the students in the classrooms step by step. Additional volunteers are needed to assist docents during project lesson with set-up, student help and clean-up.
Contact the Adams Hands on Art Committee to learn about volunteer opportunities.
