Twilight is our auditioned, treble Vocal Jazz Ensemble. It is an advanced small ensembles featuring 10-12 treble singers who specialize in the performance of modern jazz and pop-style music. This ensemble is typically open to only juniors and seniors (underclassmen may be considered on a case by case basis with permission from the director). The focus of this class will include the development of close harmonic singing, improvisation, jazz style, and music reading skills. Outside of class time will be required. Additional costs will be required for concert attire.
Prerequisites: Previous singing experience in a choral ensemble and audition/approval of the instructor are required. Students should have sang in Chorale (or be concurrently enrolled), unless having been permitted by the director.
