Students must fill out an AP Recommendation Application in order to be eligible to take an AP course
Due to the nature of the classes, students and parents must complete an application and agree to our AP policies prior to requesting the course. These applications are due by noon on February 5th, 2025 for current 9th-12th graders. Incoming 9th graders will receive a paper PDF form. Email Jordan.Stransky@Adams12.org if you need that form.
Students will not be allowed to drop AP classes once they have registered for class, have signed the AP recommendation form/contract, and have been approved. All students who take AP classes will be required to take the AP exams in May. If this expectation is not met, the grade for the course will not be weighted.
AP After School Meetings to learn about summer homework will be on Thursday May 22rd starting at 3:30 p.m.
Important Notes for Incoming 9th Graders: Incoming 9th graders may request two AP courses: AP Computer Science Principles or AP Human Geography. Interested students will register for the course as a regular part of the course selection process; in June, the appropriate contracts will be emailed home for parent and student signatures IF students have been scheduled into the course. Students who do not receive an email are not scheduled into the course.
