AP U.S. Government and Politics is a college level survey course, which covers the development of political thought in the United States and the institutions of government. The primary goals of this course are to prepare students for the AP U.S. Government Exam and develop the skills necessary for the rigors of college level work. Students will study elements of government and politics with critical analysis applied to specific examples of historical and contemporary issues. Political patterns, beliefs and consequences of political actions will also be studied in depth
