*If a member has only a Fair Standing for two years, member will not graduate with SOAR distinction but will continue in the program and the SOAR semester class and receive the SOAR program pin.

Not taking rigorous or AP classes and not on track to meet the three required

SOAR members will be evaluated each year for their standing in the SOAR program through their ePortfolio and IC. SOAR staff members will be responsible for contacting the SOAR students they have that year as well as contacting the parents.
Students are responsible for updating their ePortfolio throughout the year even if they are not currently in the SOAR class.
An incomplete ePortfolio may result in a lower standing.
SOAR Staff will check the SOAR members’ ePortfolios that they had in class the previous semester and update the SOAR Student Information spreadsheet.
SOAR students with Excellent Standing: senior year and at least two other years will graduate with SOAR Distinction and will have the SOAR distinction symbol next to their name in the graduation program.
If a member has only a Fair Standing for two years, member will not graduate with SOAR distinction but will continue in the program and the SOAR semester class.
If a member has Low Standing for two years, member will be considered for removal from the program.
Additionally, students must complete four years of the SOAR program to graduate with SOAR Distinction.
SOAR HONORS DISTINCTION REQUIREMENTS
In order to graduate with SOAR distinction, a student must meet the following requirements:
3.25 or above cumulative weighted GPA
70 hours of documented Community Service hours on ePortfolio
Minimum of three Advanced Placement/Concurrent Enrollment courses
Participation in a minimum of one Extracurricular Activities per year and documented on ePortfolio
Experiential Learning participation documented on ePortfolio each year
Leadership roles or experiences documented on ePortfolio each year
Civic Engagements roles or experiences documented on ePortfolio each year
Complete and updated E-Portfolio on time each year by the Friday before finals week
