Literature Review

This effort will review peer-reviewed literature and other evidence to identify the following:

What are model and promising interventions (list at least 10) aimed at prevention and early intervention of adolescent substance misuse specific to cannabis as well as tobacco, alcohol, or over-the counter medications and prescriptions? Include the following for each identified program/intervention:

      • What are the best-practices related to alternatives to punitive discipline for underage substance misuse in a school or community environment?

      • What are the best-practices for a web-based delivery of a health-related intervention curriculum that targets underage adolescents in either a school or community environments (i.e. can review Second Chance material for ideas).

      • What factors influence a school’s decision to adopt a prevention/intervention program?

      • What factors influence a community organization’s decision to adopt a prevention/intervention?

      • What are the best-practices in working with community organizations/schools to support the adoption of a program?
