Vijana Corps Project, Uganda
Gloria is a budding social worker from Makerere University now working with Vijana Corps, a leading youth organization in Uganda. She is part of an exciting team that is extending safe spaces, tools and platforms to youth in hard-to-reach areas in Uganda. Gloria exposes youth and youth groups to information and opportunities for them to participate in decision-making processes and development at all levels.
JOSHUA ONIALO
Kenya
Joshua is a seasoned professional with 8+ years of experience in business development, coaching, and leadership. As a social entrepreneur, he mentors students, youths, women, and MSMEs, helping them develop market strategies and products using design thinking. Joshua has made a significant impact through his work, having impacted over 4,000 lives as a pilot entrepreneur at Somo Africa and founding Nutrition Palace and co-founding K Shoes and Nanesoft Labs. He is motivated by African Young Leaders programs.

Studit Consulting Agency, Kenya
Polly is a published author who is an education and technology expert for over 8 years. She is a founder of Studit Consulting Agency and an education professional who has worked in the fields of strategy, project management, education research, curriculum design, development and training. She has led learning strategies for Eneza Education products across 5 countries in Africa. As a consultant, she has privately worked with companies in East Africa, USA and Estonia.
Co-Founder, Mobile Scan Solutions, Uganda (MSCAN)
Prosper Ahimbisibwe is the Co-Founder of Mobile Scan Solutions Uganda(MSCAN), an organization that develops low-cost and portable ultrasound scans to detect risk factors of maternal mortality among pregnant mothers in resource-limited settings. Prosper ensures that the most vulnerable mothers like those in remote areas and refugee settings receive an antenatal scan to rule out any risk factors of maternal mortality. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from Makerere University, Uganda.
Tanzania
Ravina is a Research Associate and leading the Laterite Tanzania office. She works with clients in various sectors to rigorously evaluate their programs to inform their decision-making. Ravina works in the application of evidence to inform public policy, with expertise in the agriculture sector. She has an undergraduate degree in Economics from UC Berkeley and a Masters of Public Administration in Development Practice (MPA-DP) from Columbia University.
Assistant Professor, Emergency Medicine Kenya Foundation
Dr Benjamin W. Wachira is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and the founder of the Emergency Medicine Kenya Foundation, an NGO supporting emergency healthcare providers across Kenya to save lives by strengthening the emergency healthcare system through capacity building, knowledge development, advocacy and research. Dr Wachira's work has been widely published, and he continues to lead emergency medical care development and research across Kenya.

Prior to founding Talents, Alex worked with World Vision Uganda and Digital Opportunity Trust. He is an entrepreneur running a pharmacy, lab and clinic in Gayaza. He holds a Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship for Impact and a Bachelor’s Degree in commerce.

Ngojea is a passionate and experienced professional with over ten years of experience in community development and education. Ngojea is a co-founder of Every Child Tanzania. He focuses on helping students achieve their academic and career goals through leadership camps "Opportunity projects". Ngojea holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from St. Augustine University, and certificates in compassionate learning, and child development. Ngojea hopes that one day, every child will have the opportunity to reach their potential to change the world.
Nebiyat Demeke Fiseha
Founder, Rohobot Ethiopia
Nebiyat Demeke Fiseha is a Founder and General Manager of Rohobot home-based health care. Rohobot was established on January 2017 to provide home-based health care services for chronically ill elders with the vision of Creating a suitable environment for chronically ill elders in Ethiopia as well as Africa. Rohobot also creates job opportunities for fresh graduate students of medical schools. She is a representative of Ethiopia on WIA54, 2019 and one of the speakers on Social enterprise.

Ruth Atim is the founder of, an organisation empowering Women Human Right Defenders and young school girls with Cyber Security and Digital literacy skills respectively. She is very passionate about Gender and Technology and most of her work is geared towards ending online abuse that targets women and ensuring that young school girls and women embrace the use of Science and Technology in all spheres of life. Ruth holds a Bachelor's degree in Information and Communications Technology.

A forerunner in the fight for women's rights and nonconformity, Bahati Mgogwe deserves our respect and admiration. In Tanzania, the Girls First Initiative is giving girls a voice to change the status quo and unlock latent potential. The guidance of Bahati In 2020, she launched the Girls First Initiative with the goal of breaking down barriers and giving young women the tools they need to achieve their full potential.

Opportune works for Kosmotive Ltd, a company that focuses on manufacturing reusable sanitary pads and providing health information to women where she is the Chief Operations officer. In this capacity, she leads the operations and finance department. In that role, she focuses on the company operation and management department and participates and leads various activities including a Training program for women, Pad Donation and a community project. Opportune holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and various certificate in management and operation.
Legal Aid, Ethiopia
Wakjira is a legal aid provider at the University of Gondar Free Legal Aid Center and a lecturer in law at the same university. He provides and coordinates the provision of legal services, such as preparing legal pleadings, giving legal consultations, and representing vulnerable members of the community who, because of economic inability, gender discrimination, age constraints, or disability, are unable to access justice. Wakjira also provides community legal education in North Gondor cities on basic legal knowledge.

Bior is the Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer of Leprosy and Neglected Tropical Diseases Organization South Sudan, an organization that advocates & finds solutions for Tropical & Neglected diseases in South Sudan & champions diseases of poverty. Before forming Leprosy and Neglected Tropical Diseases, Bior was the First American Society for Microbiology Young Ambassador to South Sudan. Bior is an active peace builder/community and youth mobilizer with a focus on social strengthening. Bior has a B.Sc. in General Microbiology.

DEBORAH ASIKEIT

Deborah Asikeit is a professional Project Manager and Life-Coach who has benefited from a number of coaching and mentoring programmes throughout school and work life which has made her competitive in the job market and works with international agencies such as the UN, GIZ and British Council to create significant impact. Determined to create opportunities for especially girls to excel at different levels, she founded ASK8 Centre for Skills Development to provide life skills, vocational training and coaching services.

Founder Bloom Maternity Project, Kenya
Kolah is the founder of the Bloom Maternity project, an organization tackling maternal and neonatal mortality through effective collaboration by using technology. Bloom maternity partners with stakeholders at the community level to facilitate safe labour and delivery through the use of a cloud-based clinical support system. Before founding Bloom Maternity Kolah remains a practising medic at the community level. Kolah holds a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Medicine and Community Health from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
Ketsela Mulugeta
Program Manager, Family Service Association, Ethiopia
Ketsela is a Program Manager at Family Service Association; an organization that supports communities to achieve a better quality of life. She actively works on women’s economic empowerment, improving gender equality in girls’ education, building peace and emergency response in conflict-affected areas, and education programs. Ketsela holds a master's degree in social work from St. Mary’s university.
Head of Growth, Turaco, Kenya
Ann-Elise is Head of Growth at Turaco, an inclusive insurtech operating in East Africa and Nigeria. Turaco designs and sells affordable insurance to lower-income earners to cushion the unexpected financial shocks caused by health emergencies. Ann-Elise is also Co-Founder and Partner of LendHer Capital, a venture debt fund for Kenyan women entrepreneurs. Prior to this, Ann-Elise worked at AZA Finance, KadAfrica, SHONA, and the Business Council for Peace. Ann-Elise holds a Bachelor's Degree in Global Studies from Loyola University Maryland.
Elijah Omagor is the Founder and Managing Director of Konnect Initiatives, a financial organization based in Uganda that empowers young entrepreneurs to access financial capital and scale up their micro and small businesses. Elijah holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Makerere University and an Executive MBA from ESAMI. He served as a Legal Manager at Stanbic Bank Uganda and Nile Breweries Limited prior to starting Konnect Initiatives. He is passionate about business, finance and community development.
Human Rights Advocate, Ethiopia
Hadas is a human rights advocate and humanitarian aid worker. She has vast experience in working with refugees and IDPs as a Human Rights Expert, and Legal Officer and provided dignified services to improve the lives of many. Alongside her professional work, she is a also women’s rights advocate, working towards ending Gender-based violence. Hadas holds a bachelor's degree in Law, Economics, Political Science and International Relations and is pursuing her Master’s degree in International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid.

John is the founder and Chief Executive of Focal Development Finance Limited, a socially inclined organisation that provides responsible, inclusive and affordable credit and to micro and small entrepreneurs. Prior to founding Focal Development Finance Limited, John worked in the pension industry as an assistant pension consultant. John holds a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from Makerere University.

Salu Charles is the Executive Director of Kinara for Youth Evolution, an organization that empowers young people to be change-makers in their communities in Sexual Reproductive Health, education, climate action, civic engagement, and economic empowerment through participatory development approaches. Prior to Executive Director Salu, led an entrepreneurship project in Morogoro Municipality. Salu holds a bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from the University of Dodoma.

Adrien Bizimana is the Program Officer of Miracle Corners Rwanda, focusing on equitably empowering vulnerable youth (people with disability, teen mothers, and out-school youth) with marketable ICT and tailoring skillsets. Adrien Bizimana makes vocational Training Education a tool for transforming the community by providing quality learning outcomes that ensure significant education returns that benefit the households and community at large. Adrien Bizimana holds a Master's Degree in Quality of Education from Otto Friedrich University of Bamberg in Germany.

Calvince is the founder and director of Hopeland foundation a community organization working towards community development with a focus on economic empowerment especially for disadvantaged groups. Hopeland foundation community garden project gives vulnerable women an opportunity to be self-dependant and grow their own food without having to rely on fishermen who otherwise insist on sex for fish exchange.

Eyob Tamru a general manager of Ellilta products works on empowering and creating a sustainable livelihood for women in prostitution. Ellilita product is a social enterprise wing of Ellilia women at risk a non-profit organization working for the last 26 years in rehabilitation and restoring the life of women in prostitution. Eyob holds a doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Haramay University and an MA in Leadership and Management from the Ethiopian Graduate school of theology.
Dr. Misker Kassahun
Co-founder, GIV Society, Ethiopia
Dr. Misker Kassahun is a general medical practitioner and a Co-founder and Executive Director of GIV Society Ethiopia, a local not-for-profit organization that works to tackle social challenges via volunteerism. The organization has given free medical service to 3000 underprivileged community members via 800 volunteer health professionals in 9 sub-cities of Addis Ababa. Dr. Misker is also a professional model who represented Ethiopia in 3 international beauty contests and uses these platforms to advocate for mental health awareness.
Operations Manager/Nurse, Uganda
Mutoni is the operations manager/nurse at KCDC, which works to improve the quality of life for children with disabilities and their families in western Uganda, offering holistic, affordable and accessible therapy services. Prior to joining KCDC, Mutoni worked as a nurse at the Fort Portal Regional hospital. Mutoni holds a diploma in nursing from Mountains of the Moon University.
Titus helps Nairobi’s underserved youth achieve their greatest potential. He’s the co-founder & ED of Canada-Mathare Education Trust; an organization whose mission is to advance education in Kenya by providing secondary and post-secondary scholarships to needy but bright students from Mathare Slums. He's the founder of PaaMoja; an initiative that equips youth with life skills, resources, and opportunities to design and execute programs that transform their communities. He holds a Diploma in Social Innovation from UPEACE Centre for Executive Education.

Fatma Muzo is the Country Director at Solar Sister in Tanzania, an organization investing in women’s clean energy businesses. She leads Solar Sister’s operations in Tanzania. Previously worked with CARE International as Women Economic Empowerment Program Manager. Fatma holds an MBA in Corporate Management, and a Postgraduate in Financial and Project Management from Mzumbe University. Makeda Mekonnen is an expert at utilizing private sector engagement in the agro-processing sector to develop rural communities and further Ethiopia's development agenda. She has worked extensively with SMEs creating market linkages for farmers and currently works to advise the government on their overall investment strategy and promotion in agro-processing. She has a bachelor's degree in Economics from Rice University.

Wendmagegnehu is an experienced Social and Behavioral change(SBC) Advisor at Food for Hungry Ethiopia. Wendmagegnehu provides leadership on the SBC approach, developing strategy, technical guidance, and capacity building for the fight against poverty to graduate ultra-poor and chronically food insecure households out of poverty. Fr. Kiibi Deogratias Kateregga is a Christian priest, health advocate, and business coach from Uganda. He holds a Masters' Degree in Theology from St. Mary's Ggaba Major Seminary, as well as a Bachelors' Degree in Philosophy. With over five years of experience, he is passionate about transforming the lives of disadvantaged people in marginalized communities.
Fr. Kiibi is the Founder and CEO of St Raphael Health Foundation, an organization committed to improving the health and well-being of people in need. Through his work with the Foundation and his coaching, Fr. Kiibi has demonstrated a strong commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities.

Nessri is a Co-founder and Advisor at Ethiopian Women Empowerment Association, a local non-profit organization that enables underprivileged women and girls to improve their livelihood through social and economic empowerment. Okari is the director at Pendekezo Letu, an organization that supports vulnerable children and youths in street situations and their families, in marginalized urban communities in Kenya, to access their fundamental rights such as access to justice especially juvenile justice system, sustainable livelihoods, child protection systems strengthening, street work, rehabilitation and Upscale Education. Prior to Pendekezo Letu, Okari worked as a context researcher and M&E specialist focusing on the intergenerational modality of poverty, wealth disparity and safeguarding.

Irene is the founder and director of Zabibu Centre, a non-profit making academic institution. The Centre also provides shelter and rehabilitation for children and youth in difficult circumstances. Irene holds Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Arabic from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor's Degree in Religious Studies from Landmark Baptist Theological Seminary. She was a Provincial Administrator, in the Office of the President.

Founder, Opersi
Marie Odile Inezaye is the Founder of Opersi, a brand that makes natural skincare products by combining advanced science and natural ingredients while empowering small holder farmers. Prior to Opersi, Marie Odile is a workshop facilitator at Resonate, an organisation that unlocks leadership potential of women and girls in East Africa through confidence-building workshops. Marie Odile holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology/Biotechnology and currently pursuing her MBA from Regent Business School and International Organic Skincare Entrepreneur Program at Formula Botanica.
Kenya
Peter is the initiator and coordinator of Murang'a West pro-poor project . He applies his influence as the Technical Manager for Kahuti Water and Sanitation Company, a public rural water utility. He waives connection fees for needy households. He previously dug boreholes and water-pans for the pastoralist Maasai community in ASAL parts of Kenya. Peter holds a Master of Engineering in Environmental Science from Tongji University, China.

Ruby is the Head of Entrepreneurship at Centonomy Limited, an organization that seeks to shift mindsets so that purposeful people can create wealth, through training programs. Centonomy empowers both individuals and entrepreneurs to understand how to manage money, begin a savings and investments culture, as well as understand how to grow and run a profitable business. This enables them to get out of poverty and create positive money habits for generations.

Sia Fred Towo holds a degree in Development Studies, is very passionate about the development sector, and is self-motivated in community growth. She is an aspiring pan-African leader looking to disrupt the several barriers to the development of women's rights in Africa. She is currently the Country Manager at Femme International, a non-profit offering menstrual sexual reproductive health (MSRH) education, research, and product distribution in East Africa for the past 8 years.
CO-Founder Women Enterprise Accelerator, Rwanda
Antoinette is the Co-Founder and MD of Women Enterprise Accelerator, a community-based company that unlocks business opportunities for women in Rwanda by proving access to business opportunities and resources to grow thriving businesses and experience improved well-being for themselves and their families. Prior to co-founding the organization, she ran Women for Women Rwanda as Executive Director and Women for Women International as Country Director. She is a former President and current governor of the Soroptimist International Union of Rwanda.
Ethiopia
Jony is a seasoned expert in sustainable agribusiness development, with a particular focus on organic honey production. He holds a master's degree in organic agriculture and agricultural economics, which has provided him with a solid foundation in the field. Jony is a key figure at Green Face, an organization that is committed to engaging rural unemployed youth in natural forest areas to produce organic honey. Through their efforts, Green Face has been able to create a self-employment opportunity for the youth, which has kept them from migrating and prevented deforestation in the region.
Mental Health/Addiction Program - Kenya Prisons Service
David is the program coordinator of the Kenya Prisons Service Mental health and addiction program, a program that creates awareness, advocates and implements evidence-based programs on prevention, intervention and treatment of addiction disorders and mental health services. The scope of the program includes the rehabilitation of prisoners, their reintegration upon release, empowerment of prison staff and other disciplined forces and community outreach mental health services. David is an internationally certified addiction professional and a trained mental health practitioner.
Co-Founder, Doctors Explain, Kenya
Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Doctors Explain- a full-suite telemedicine platform which enables teleconsultation, laboratory testing and pharmacy fulfilment. Before founding Doctors Explain, Dinah consulted for over 10 medical startups designing growth strategies. She is currently working on developing the cloud lab function at Doctors Explain. Her goal is to make laboratory diagnosis accessible to the most remote geographies and to democratize access to healthcare through telemedicine.

Emery works for Inkomoko as the Kenya Senior Investment Manager. Inkomoko offers full-service business consulting in Kenya, Rwanda and Ethiopia focused specifically on developing the skills, abilities, and networks for entrepreneurs to successfully develop, operate, and expand their enterprises for increased profit and job creation in the region. Elvis Kadhama, a Ugandan self-made agribusiness social entrepreneur passionate about empowering farmers through use of technology in farming. Elvis is a YALI RLC Nairobi Alumni 2018, One Young World Ambassador 2021, Nairobi Summer School on Climate Justice alumni 2022, Acumen Foundry member, LDC5 Youth Delegate, winner of $5,000 Shark-ish Tech Buzz pitch competition 2022, winner of $20,000 NSSF Hi-innovator pitch competition 2022, Founder and CEO at Essymart Africa. Rosaly Akinyi is the founder of Roak Swahili Wear project that works to empower unemployed women and youths using SDG of climate action by recycling used tires. Wilfried is the operating officer at Healthy Entrepreneurs Burundi, a social enterprise that, through the community, health workers network, makes accessible health information, quality basic healthcare and products (hygiene products, nutritional products and essential medicines) for rural families with limited resources. Wilfried develops services to improve basic healthcare for last-mile communities.
