Request the international advisor (the DSO) at your current school to transfer your SEVIS record to ACU after your semester there has finished (for students in good immigration status). Present your ACU acceptance letter. ACU’s school code is: DAL214F00932000. This can be scheduled ahead of time in SEVIS for a future date.
Out of status students: If you are not in good immigration status, please note that ACU does not accept terminated or canceled SEVIS records. If this applies to you, please contact the ACU Office of International Students and Visiting Scholars (OISVS) to plan your next steps.
Heads up - Employment canceled upon transfer: Please note: any off-campus work authorization is canceled by a transfer to a new school.
2. Learn about the estimated cost of attendance for your program and prepare your financial documents.
Athletes with scholarships can upload their scholarship + additional personal funding to meet the estimate
Students funded by non-parental sponsors must upload personal funding documents as well
Students funded by parents and sponsors need to have the sponsor complete the "Agreement of Support" document and hand-sign it.
Learn more here.
3. Submit this I-20 Portal Access Request to indicate you've prepared your funding documents and are ready to request your I-20.
4. We'll send you an email with instructions for setting up your OISVS portal and completing the intake form.
5. Then, you'll submit the Transfer-in and I-20 request in the portal (see the page on how to submit a request here). You will need to upload the following documents:
A copy of all your current I-20s.
Your I-94, passport, bank statements and scholarship documents showing sufficient funding to meet the standard estimate above
Financial agreement forms from you and your sponsor/family (if applicable).
A copy of your F-1 visa.
6. Report in person to the OISVS within 15 days of the program start date to complete your immigration check-in and international student orientation. See immigration check-in instructions in this guide here.
7. Enroll in a full load of classes.
8. After you have checked-in and enrolled, you will be issued an I-20 showing that your transfer is complete. Students who have not enrolled and reported to the OISVS within 15 days of the beginning of the semester will be considered out of status and will not be able to maintain their immigration status.
