To audition virtually for RISING STARS Talent Competition, please fill out and submit the form below, including a link to your best 3–5 minute set. We're looking for acts that are no less than 3 minutes in length and no more than 5. We will select 2 Finalists from this round of submissions to fill 2 more Wildcard spots in the Finals.

How many online auditions can one artist/team submit?

As a performing artist, we understand you may have more than one kind of act, or you may have two distinct sets of vastly different material. You may submit up to two (2) sets of online auditions, and each must be a completely different act from the other, with  less than 10% content overlap please. We do not want to be watching 2 slight variations on the same set of songs, poems, jokes, or tricks by the same artist. You must submit a separate audition form for each act. If you submit more than 2 auditions, we will review only the first 2. If you submit an audition by mistake, or one that contains errors, please send an email to toronto@actyourstage.ca let us know so we can correct the error on our end.

Important Online Submission Notes:

We love the wordsmiths, the singer/songwriters, the joke writers, the directors, the script writers, the choreographers, the imagineers, the creators - the entire backbone of the arts. We appreciate acts where the artist performs their own unique creation. That said, we also love acts where the performing artist recreates a tribute or cover existing material written by other artists, where the performing artist is inspired enough to recreate their own rendition of an existing piece by reinterpreting, remixing, repurposing it in a way unique to themselves, using their own vocal style, instrumentation, body movement, or other performance style unique to them. Originality of performance can be expressed in many ways beyond writing and music composition and choreography. Cover and tribute acts are acceptable, as long as the tributed artist is acknowledged and credited for their material.  Only the first 5 minutes of each online audition will be reviewed. Please trim your material as needed before linking us to it, unless you are okay with us stopping your set at the 5 minute mark. Keep in mind that a longer act does not equal a better act. A complex act does not equal a better act. Performing your own written material does not equal originality of performance.
