My name is Joseph Michael Gratale and I am a Professor of Humanities and Social Sciences at Anatolia American University, where I teach a range of courses in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. After completing my BA in History and an MA in Sociology in the USA, I went on to complete a Ph.D in Thessaloniki, Greece, at Aristotle University. I have published articles, book chapters, and book reviews on topics related to American history and culture, cultural studies, and globalization. My recent research interests include war and culture, cultural globalization, and cultural geography. I have been teaching at Anatolia since 1995, and I currently serve as Coordinator of the Faculty Development Program.
