The rationale of this introductory course in microeconomics is to provide students with an insight regarding economic theory and policies by focusing on markets function and the role of the firm in the context of different market circumstances under perfect and imperfect competition. This course together with Econ 101 completes the introduction to economics and is a prerequisite for managerial economics.
