Short Bio
I am an Associate Professor of Economics and Finance at Anatolia American University, specializing in Behavioral Economics and Finance, and Decision Making Under Uncertainty.
I have obtained by PhD in Finance from the University of Exeter, UK, with a full scholarship as a graduate teaching assistant. Prior to this, I have obtained an MSc in Financial Economics from Cardiff University, UK, and a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Crete in Greece. I have more than 20 years teaching experience in numerous Finance, Economics and Econometrics modules at various universities in Greece and the UK. In addition to my academic experience, I have worked as a consultant in major regional-development European Union projects for the 2014-2020 programming period concerning Greece.
My research interests and specialization in the field of Behavioral Finance & Economics cover topics such as: Corporate Disclosure Policies, the Effects of Information, the Psychology and Behavior of Investors and Markets, Choice under Uncertainty, Applied Econometrics in various business decisions, Behavioral Macroeconomics,Theme Park Industry Economics.
Currently, I also serve as the president of the AAU Faculty Senate.
