We do not recommend shipping any items unless they accompany you on the plane.  If you plan to ship any items by any other methodology, you must speak to the Business Office. It is also important to note that during some travel periods that there are embargos and extra baggage may not be permitted on flights. It is the responsibility of the teacher to check airline baggage allowances and to plan appropriately.  

Mailing address

The following is your mailing address in Bolivia.  It is the most reliable but not a guaranteed address to give to your friends and family members for letters and small packages.  Mail from the States takes approximately two weeks to arrive.  Anything larger than an average sized envelope may be subject to customs fees.

Settling in allowance

The school provides a $500 settling in allowance for all overseas hired teachers upon your arrival in La Paz.   Teachers may use this allowance to pay extra shipping costs or to purchase items upon your arrival.
