AIG Identification

                             CogAT Universal Screening

The CogAT is an aptitude assessment that measures a student's learned reasoning abilities. The questions on the CogAT require students to demonstrate their reasoning abilities in each of the following areas:

Each section is given on a different day and requires 30 minutes of testing time. 2nd grade teachers will be doing practice CogAT lessons in their classrooms prior to the students gain exposure to the types of questions they will encounter.

The CogAT is used by the AIG department as a universal screen for AIG services. Testing results will come back in about two weeks. All the data will be reviewed, AIG paperwork will be signed and mailed home, classes will be scheduled and students will be starting services after the first month of school starting.
