Will Smith's Suspense and Horror and Heidi Freeman's creative writing class had the chance to hear Andrew K. Clark speak about his book: Edgar.

Fable Writing

Ellie Huber from Americorps taught a lesson to students about animals in WNC and resilience. Then students from Heidi Freeman's creative writing class worked with students from Kristina Shriver's art class to create their own fable.

EC Support

Every two weeks Ms. Bunce brings her freshman into the library. We learned how to access SORA and check out audio books. We also read about Earth Day and made tissue paper earths to put in the windows.

Ms. Baer's students come every 4 weeks. For our last lesson of the year we read about the importance of friendship and made friendship bracelets.

A glimpse of the last 9 weeks

Wiltse's and Montecalvo's English I classes participated in Smart Research in the Digital age: learning how and why to use the CRAAP test. Students were shown how to access the school's databases in order to do academic research for a final project.
Greener's AVID English classes learned about podcasting and research for a project on Childhood Favorites.
Hilliard's Theater Arts 1 Class learned about research to write monologues for contemporary icons.
Talarico's classes used the makerspace supplies for their 3-D book projects.
Mr. Annand provided PD to prepare staff for Infinite Campus.
The media staff provided tech support for multiple uses of the new auditorium AV system.
AP testing support: Members from the Media Team provided AP testing support in the form of proctoring, technology and use of the space.
The back of library is the space that is hosting monthly staff potlucks, on 3.13 we celebrated Pi Day.
