Mr. VanCleve's AP US History students learned about the judical system from District Attorney, Amy Ray. 

Ms. Talarico's AP Literature students researched literary theories and then used the databases to understand Beloved by Toni Morrison through that lens.  

Creative Writing, and South Literature, two electives offered at AHS met with local author Elliot Reed to construct an analog product.  The prompt: Home. Where are you home? Where are you most yourself? Students typed up a review of the place and pinned it to the map.  

Ms. Baer & Ms. Bunce's EC classes came in to read a book about seeds and plant life.  Afterwards they planted seeds in a hydroponics tank, and in little pots. 

Montecalvo and Wiltse English I students learned about the research process, the ethics of using AI, and how to cite sources. Students produced a magazine or a collection of writing about a topic of their choice. 

Students in Ms. Hilliard's Theater I class learned about research methods. Each student picked a famous artist, learned about their lives and wrote an original monologue. 

Zoey Norman and Ava Leigh Manderson led students in Creative writing and Southern Lit in a Songwriting Workshop.
