Academic Probation

A student who fails more than one subject, or receives two D’s or more and an F at the end of any semester, is placed on Academic Probation for the next semester.  

Students on Academic Probation may be ineligible for participation in any co-curricular activities, including field trips and athletics.  A student on Academic Probation may become eligible at mid-semester if mid-semester grade reports indicate that the student meets eligibility requirements.

Students on Academic Probation will automatically be referred to the Child Study Team for screening, evaluation, and possible remedial services.

After 2 consecutive semesters on academic probation students may be asked to withdraw from the school. 

Please note that all new students to the ACS Athens Academy will be given the equivalent of a one-semester grace period to get accustomed to and acclimated to our school community.
