Meet the Teacher

Hi! I'm Paige Hicks. Welcome to psychology class! I'm so happy to be back in school and around teenagers! 

This is my 19th year teaching and my 17th year at AHS. I have taught early US history, modern US history, sociology, and US government in the past. I also sponsor the Mike Jones Chapter of the Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society and Active Minds, our mental health club.

I am a 2002 graduate of Athens High School and a 2006 graduate of Athens State University. I also hold a master's degree from UNA (2012) and an education specialist degree from Walden University (2015). I am a National Board Certified Teacher and have completed Youth Mental Health First Aid Training.

I have a daughter who is a sophomore at UNA. We have lots of cats and one dog at home. We love watching and imitating Gilmore Girls.

I am an Auburn fan and a huge Braves fan.
