When Ofsted inspect your school, they will inspect the school’s safeguarding arrangements.
Inspectors will triangulate the evidence given to them, corroborating it with the views of all stakeholders.
If the evidence cannot be corroborated, the arrangements will be deemed ineffective which, in turn, will likely lead to an ‘inadequate’ Ofsted grading. Safeguarding is not graded separately, instead it will affect the judgement for leadership and management.
This is subject to review in Autumn 2025 in line with the Big Listen recommendations.
