Campus Portal is the best way to keep up with your scholars grades and other key important information. Please look through these slides for how to set your Campus portal!
If you are experiencing robotic, delayed audio when going off mute, please try the following steps during your zoom class:
Turn video off temporarily while speaking (turn back on after your turn speaking) We tested this during an actual class and the audio seemed to improve significantly
Close unnecessary tabs (especially other tabs streaming video from youtube, etc) + sit as close as possible to your wifi router.
If you aren't using a Bluetooth headset/other Bluetooth accessory, try to turn off your Bluetooth (you can do this by clicking the clock on their chromebooks and turning the Bluetooth button off – see photo below)
Click the tiny UP Arrow (^) next to the video icon on your Zoom screen, select “Video Settings...” and Uncheck “Enable Mirror Effect” (this should be the first option on the screen)
It will also help if you turn your chromebook off at the end of each day (not just closing the lid). You can do this by also clicking the clock and then clicking the “Power” symbol ( the "O" with a straight line on top, right next to the “Sign Out” button). This will ensure that all extra tabs are closed and not using much CPU power.
If none of these steps work, please send us a ticket by clicking the “Ask for Help” button in the remotelearning.achievementfirst.org site.
First of, we need you to stay fully present. That means try to get rid of all distractions. That especially means no cell phones.
Distractions can get in the way of each of us hearing important info and they can also get in the way of the learning.
We ask that you keep your mic OFF and your video on. This will help to make sure that all of you can hear your teacher and that we can see each other.
Having your video on helps us stay connected with you. It helps us support your learning. And it was more fun to meet new people when you can see their faces. We expect all students to have their cameras on. If you need help, we will help you throughout our session today.
When you are having a tech concern, please report it to our teachers as soon as possible. We want to be able to help you as soon as possible. Pease use the link below to navigate reporting your tech concern.
You do not have an AF computer-Every scholar NEEDS and AF Chrome Book. We have software for academic growth and testing already on our Chrome Books that you just will not be able to access on your own personal computer. We are also trying to stop Zoom Bombers. One way to do it to lock our documents to ONLY AF domain.
Your computer is broken.
Your mic is not working.
Your camera is not working.
If you are having Wifi issues.
