Welcome new and returning families!!!!!!
School is right around the corner and we are thrilled to welcome our scholars -- both prospective and current -- to Voyager Middle!!!
We are so grateful for your partnership this year and for trusting us with your children’s education. In fact, we are ecstatic that you’ve chosen us, Voyager for your children's education next year. As we prepare to start the school year, here’s what we want to make sure you know we’re keeping front and center:
Communication: We want to make sure that your are always getting the most current information from us. We want you to always be in the know! So Bookmark this page and refresh it weekly for those updates
Safety: As the world changes so will our policies. We will let you know of the procedures and will provide you with support to make sure that your scholars are safely learning. There will always be a safety section below for all of your safety memos and updates.
Community: One of year long priorities is building strong learning communities! We build academic communities where scholars feel safe sharing ideas, where they are celebrated for taking risks, and are engaged by intentional lesson planning. We promote and leave space for scholars to share their thinking and build independence.
So thank you! Thank you for entrusting us with your scholar for the 24-25 school year.
Warm regards,
Ms. Renaud

Hello Aviator Families,
Yellow Bus Service:
If your scholar is eligible for bus service and receives a route, please reach out to our main office so we can coordinate the route information for your approval before they start. Only scholars in 7th & 8th grade with Door-to-Door bussing required on their IEP will be eligible for yellow bus transportation.
If your scholar has requested bus service and is not eligible to receive a route, you can then request a MetroCard for your scholar.
MetroCards:
Metrocards will not be available from the Office of Pupil Transportation until after DOE's first day of school. We are awaiting our scholar MetroCards and will distribute them upon their arrival.
Families will be responsible for scholar transportation to and from school for at least the first 3 weeks of school. We will be providing transportation letters scholars to show bus drivers until their MetroCard arrives.
Some FAQ's:
Will I be approved for Yellow bussing?
---Only scholars in 7th & 8th grade with Door-to-Door bussing listed on their IEP will be eligible for yellow bus transportation
Why is my scholar not eligible for a metrocard?
---Scholars who live less than 1/2 mile away are not eligible for metrocards based on the Office of Pupil Transportation guidelines.
