WELCOME

ACGC is excited to host you and your students for District Large Group Speech Contest! Please read the following and check back often for updated information. Should you have additional questions, please contact Contest Manager Kelsey Dinkla at kdinkla@acgcschools.org.  

BEFORE CONTEST

• ALL SPECIAL REQUESTS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO STACY HANSEN. 

• If you spot a mistake or a missed special request on the schedule, PLEASE contact Kelsey immediately. Please do not ask for changes unless there was a special request mistake. 

• Please provide ONE comment sheet for each performing group. Remember to bring THREE copies for ONE ACT PLAY. Copies will be available in the office for $.25 each in an emergency. Bring a self-addressed (heavily) stamped envelope if you intend to leave before your comment sheets are ready to be picked up. 

• NO PHOTOS or VIDEO RECORDING is allowed.

• Prepare your students and spectators for the Contest environment. Provide schedules, share your unique school code, and remind them NOT to wear school apparel. 

• Remind spectators of the $5.00 suggested donation at the door. Programs will be for sale for $2.00.

• We are CASH ONLY. No credit cards will be accepted and Venmo is not available.

• Remember to bring your own equipment for TV NEWS, RADIO BROADCASTING, and SHORT FILM.

• If you need risers for READERS THEATRE or a mat for GROUP MIME, please contact Kelsey.

THE DAY OF CONTEST

• The building will open at 7:00 AM. 

• Coaches, sign in at the MAIN OFFICE when you arrive. 

• Have a SUBSTITUTION, DROP, or CHANGE? Fill out the form HERE.

• The MAIN ENTRANCE is located on the west side of the building.

• BUSES may drop students off and follow the circle drive around the school and park in the lot on the south side of the school.

• HANDICAP-ACCESSIBLE ENTRIES are located on the south and east sides of the school.

• The MAIN GYM will serve as "home base" and be used to store all teams' props, bags, coats, etc. Please keep your area neat and tidy and pick up your area before you leave. 

• PLEASE, NO FOOD OR DRINK IN THE GYM.

• You may collect your comment sheets in the office after ALL of your team's ratings have been posted.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Thank you so much for your time and dedication to teaching and coaching our kids. You are giving them such valuable learning experiences - and most importantly - a safe space to call their own.
