Overall Goal: To equip educators with practical knowledge and skills to ethically and effectively integrate AI tools into their teaching practice, enhancing student learning and engagement.
Workshop Structure: The workshop will run from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with a blend of presentations, interactive demonstrations, hands-on activities, and collaborative discussions.
Materials: Participants will need a laptop or tablet with internet access. All necessary software/platform access will be provided. Handouts and digital resources will also be available.
This will be a day of hands-on application for educators, where we will learn, co-create, collaborate and test different tools and strategies for applying Generative AI into action.

Using AI to Support Transformative Learning: We will explore various emerging AI tools to support transformative learning in the classroom. Through case studies, we will explore helping students to boost creativity, developing reflective practices, and thriving through ambiguous challenges(Irina Uk- Acera School- Room 6).
Designing Simulations: Design more interactive lessons leveraging AI to be a co-author in designing complex simulation activities for your students(Jamie Schefen-Acera, School-Room 2).
Assessment and Feedback with AI: Experiment with different AI tools to think about how to make assessment easier. Experiment with using AI to create rubrics, give feedback on papers, and more. (Alison Earnhart-Acera School-Room 4).

12:30-1:40 PM Afternoon Sessions- Choose One:
Novel Engineering with AI: Teachers use AI to think of possibilities for novel engineering
and use AI to create their plans, and consider how (where appropriate)
students can engage with AI in the design development process
( Elissa Milto- Tufts CEEO Room 6).
Machine Learning with AI: What is Machine Learning? How do we use AI to build things? How can we start in robotics without actually knowing how to program? How can we use AI tools to modify and be creative with what tools we have? (Dr. Milan Dahal-Tufts CEEO Room 2).
Empowering Striving Learners with AI - From Accommodations to Independence: Leveraging AI to differentiate your work, level texts, and many tools available to help your students have multiple access points in their work( Kara Wilkins, Lowell Public Schools-Room 4).
