Profile--profile picture, contact methods, bio, public links
Files--in folders by course as well as personal storage area
Settings--contact methods for notifications, time zone setting, display name
Shared Content--content you have received from colleagues
QR for Mobile Login--scan for mobile access
Global Announcements--access old campus wide announcements
Set your Notification Settings
Determine the frequency in which you want to be notified via email for various items within your courses.
Click on Notifications
Click the bell icon on the far right to see the menu of choices for notification preferences
Check out your Inbox
You can message students by course, groups (students, observers, etc.), or selected students
Provides an organized historical view of all communication
* The inbox is not an actual email system but acts as a passthrough and is connected to your school email.
Access your Calendar
Toggle between different views: Week, Month, Agenda View
Course-related assignments and events show on the calendar color coded to the course.
Toggle courses on and off to see class-specific items.
Create appointment groups and allow students (parents) to sign up.
TIP: Using the calendar to change due dates is the BEST method.
Customize your Dashboard
Determine how you want to view your courses- (Card or List View)
Color code your cards for visual identification
Nickname your card for easy identification
Begin setting up your Courses
Take time to explore each course you will be teaching and begin course setup.
Ensure all components within the Course Setup Checklist is completed prior to student start.
