Community Guidelines and FAQ's
We kindly request all event attendees adhere to the following guidelines for a harmonious and enjoyable event:
Students not permitted on site after school
As this event starts at 5.00 pm, we request that at the conclusion of the normal school day, all students are picked up or travel home via their normal arrangements on Tuesday 6 August, and return to school with their families for the event. Our staff team will be occupied in setting up the event and will not be able to supervise students between the end of the school day and the start of MAD Night. Students who are involved in setting up or performance will be advised by their teachers whether they are required to stay on campus between end of school and the event start.
Parental Supervision
While our staff team will be present at the event, for the safety and wellbeing of all, we require that students be accompanied by an adult throughout the event. This ensures proper supervision and safety for all guests, and allows parents to fully engage in their child's performances and artwork displays. Please note that all areas outside of the Forecourt, A Block building and Tech Centre building are OUT OF BOUNDS.
Safety, Security & First Aid
Please note that there is a large ‘out of bounds’ area on the map above. Aside from the Forecourt area containing the food trucks, all performances and exhibitions will be held in A Block and Tech Centre - all other buildings and outdoors areas are out of bounds. This measure is to ensure the smooth flow of the event and to prioritise the safety of our attendees. We will have a 'Safety and Security' team of staff in place during the event to assist in this area.
St John's Ambulance volunteers will be operating out of the Secondary Hub in A Block (marked 'First Aid' on the map above). Should you need to visit them at any point in the event, please do so. Additionally, our entire staff team is First Aid trained so please reach out to our staff (identified in high-vis vests) if you have an issue.
Parking & Shuttle Service
Limited parking is available in the streets surrounding our Campus and we will have a full parking and welcoming team of staff near the entrance of the Campus to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic. Please follow the directions of our staff and as always, be courteous to our neighbours in remaining off their properties and enabling full clearance for their driveways.
We highly recommend using our Shuttle Bus Service, running between Elara and our Campus. The bus will depart from Elara Sporting Fields (located on Elara Boulevard, a short distance from Elara Shops). Parking is available at the sporting fields or at Elara Shops (300m down the road). The Shuttle Bus Stop will be marked with a sign. Shuttle buses will depart approximately every 15 mins from 4.45 pm, with the last shuttle departing ACC Marsden Park at approximately 8.45 pm. There is no need to book - just turn up! We do advise arriving for the shuttle bus at least half an hour before your desired arrival time in case there are delays.
Weather & Dress
Food trucks are located outdoors and we will have numerous outdoor gas heaters located in the Forecourt to help keep you warm while you eat. But we encourage you to dress warmly to ensure your comfort!
Students are not required to wear their College uniform at this event. Students who are performing will be contacted separately and advised of their performance attire.
Please keep an eye out for updates from the College on the day in the case of inclement weather.
We kindly request your support in honouring the event guidelines to ensure an enjoyable experience for all guests. We are looking forward to our community joining together to celebrate the remarkable creativity and passion of our young artists.
