Louisiana Life Safety & Security Association-The LLSSA annually awards two scholarships to the children of Louisiana's Law Enforcement, Firefighters, or First Responders to support their educational pursuits. Due March 1, 2026
SOWELA Technical Community College supports students with the desire and the dedication to learn. This includes non-traditional students and those facing financial barriers to higher education. All students attending SOWELA are encouraged to complete and submit a scholarship application. Students must complete and submit a scholarship application each academic year. Due March 1, 2026
McNeese announced in October that All students who apply are now automatically placed into a scholarship consideration pool. The Scholarship Office will evaluate each applicant and award scholarships based on student qualifications and financial need. No scholarship application is necessary.
The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship, providing recipients with the opportunity to achieve their goals and graduate college debt-free. The scholarship provides $2,000 to help pay for essential items to attend college and up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters. Due December 1, 2025
The JonCade Thomas Clemons Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2007 by Andre’ Clemons in loving memory of his 10 year old son JonCade Thomas Clemons. The intent of the fund is to continue to spread the positive attitude about life and the true concern for an individual’s happiness that JonCade showed to everyone he met. Louisiana Christian University , Smith Scholarship Competition. It is a Full scholarship; it includes full tuition for 4 years as well as room and board for 4 years. Students have to be admitted to Louisiana Christian in order to be invited to compete for this award. Application to LCA here.
The Louisiana Acadiana Chapter of Safari Club International is dedicated to protecting the freedom to hunt and supporting wildlife conservation from our backyard to around the world. To support the next generation of conservation-minded leaders, the Acadiana Chapter awards a one-time $1,500.00 scholarship to a graduating senior from any accredited public or private high school within the Acadiana area. The recipient will be recognized at the Chapter’s annual Sporting Clays Shoot in May and featured at the annual banquet in August.
