Luis Maya II
2nd Model Governor of Arkansas
Luis Maya is from Nashville, Arkansas and a Nashville High School alum and is a sophomore at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and a proud Arkansan.
Raised and cultivated in rural, southwest Arkansas, he demonstrates his core values of respect, altruism, southern hospitality, and others through his character and commitment to many projects, organizations, and leadership positions.
Luis Maya currently serves as a member of the University of Arkansas Student Government Association.
Luis Maya has served as an intern for US Representative French Hill in his DC office.
He also dedicates his time volunteering for various community service projects, civic and leadership events, and youth outreach programs. He cherishes moments with his family and friends in his spare time, enjoys traveling and exploring, and working in his family's business.
With a passion for politics and law, Luis plans to pursue a degree in political science and economics after graduating from high school, fueling his ambition to pursue a career in Arkansas.
Luis Maya served as a member of the Model Arkansas House of Representatives in 2022, and 2023. Luis Maya began his term of as model Governor in 2023 and began his first elected term in 2024.
