2nd Model Governor of Arkansas

Luis Maya is a Nashville High School alum and is a freshman at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and a proud Arkansan.

Raised and cultivated in rural, southwest Arkansas, he demonstrates his core values of respect, altruism, southern hospitality, and others through his character and commitment to many projects, organizations, and leadership positions.

Luis Maya has made a significant impact as an actively involved FCCLA member for the past five years. He has held notable positions at the local, regional, state, and national levels, serving as the National Vice President of Parliamentary Law, representing over 237,000 students.

Alongside FCCLA, Luis actively participates in various school and extracurricular organizations through many leadership positions.

He also dedicates his time volunteering for various community service projects, civic and leadership events, and youth outreach programs. He cherishes moments with his family and friends in his spare time, enjoys traveling and exploring, and working in his family's business.

With a passion for politics and law, Luis plans to pursue a degree in political science and economics after graduating from high school, fueling his ambition to pursue a career in Arkansas.
