I am a music teacher. I obtained my bachelor's degree in Music with a major in flute performance at the Higher Institute of Art in Havana, Cuba. I am a K-12 Florida Certified Music teacher and recently completed the Orff-Schulwerk Level Two.

The approach of the music class is focused on the central idea that Music, speech, and movement form an inseparable unit. Through movements, body percussion, singing, and rhythmic speech, children gain experience and develop instincts to make Music in a playful and accessible way. In my classes, I use songs, rhymes, games, and dances to explore Music in the elementary form, introducing skills and concepts in an integrated way. Body percussion, recorders (flutes), and unpitched and pitched instruments often accompany Music and movement.

My classroom expectations are:
