Students are encouraged to attend school regularly. If, however, you must be absent from school for any reason, it is your responsibility to make up all missed work. Being absent does notexempt you from assignments. If you are absent the day something is due, you will receive a "Z" for the assignment unless your absence is excused, in which case you will be expected to submit your work in a timely manner. Students should check their Google Classroom for the missing assignments. Make-up work should be completed no later than a week after the absence occurred. A "Z" or an "F" will appear in the grade book until I have received the assignment.
*In the event that you have missed a test or quiz, you will need to make arrangements to make this up during homeroom time.
Unexcused Absence(s):
Students who miss school due to unexcused absences must first excuse their absence before completing the make-up work. Once they have excused their absence, they will be permitted to make-up their missed assignments within a reasonable time period (e.g., a week after the absence occurred) or their grade will remain a "Z".
Tardy Work:
All past-due work classwork or homework assignments are subject to a 10% deduction each day it is late. If the student fails to turn in their assignment by the authorized due date, their grade on the assignment will remain a "Z".
