Remarkable Futures: U-Explore START - Careers Information Platform
As part of our commitment to helping you 'Find your Remarkable' and supporting you to develop 'Remarkable Futures' we are delighted to give you access to high quality and engaging careers information that you can explore at your leisure. U-Explore START is an online careers information platform that gives you 24/7 access to up to date, reliable and independent careers information and resources. The site is very easy to use and contains labour market information, job profiles, video clips and information on all progression routes. START has a 'student locker room' feature which allows you to record your careers experiences, activities and exploration and also encourages you to reflect on these in relation to what you may want to do in the future.
Access to high quality careers information is an incredibly important part of the process of making informed decisions about your future progression.
We strongly encourage you to explore the the platform, investigate the different job roles and profiles, watch the videos of people discussing their job roles in more detail, research traineeships, apprenticeships, sixth form, college and university progression routes and complete some of the reflection exercises to help you consider what your next steps in learning and work could look like.
The world of work and education is constantly changing and therefore by using U-Explore START consistently over time you will be able to keep well informed about each of these changes and explore at your leisure.
Whether you are thinking about what options to select at Key Stage 4, where you would like to study after GCSE or the difference between going to university, getting an apprenticeship or securing a job, this platform will help you explore lots of the information that you will need to help you make that decision.
Your school has a careers leader and a careers adviser and they are always available to answer any queries that you may have about anything that you find or anything that you are interested in. When you reach Year 10/11 you will have a 1:1 meeting with your school careers adviser and we suggest that you use the U-Explore platform to help you prepare for that interview and then to follow up on whatever you discuss.

Within the platform, in addition to the home learning resources, you can personalise your experience by exploring the skills, qualities, interests, work and study preferences that you have and navigate to sources of support. Please click the link above to log in to the platform.

We encourage you to use the platform with your child and explore career and progression ideas together. In addition to using the platform to support your child, as a parents you may also wish to use the platform for yourself. Parents can also use the platform but we ask that you do not log in using your child's user details, but instead register with the platform independently yourself (should you wish to).
