Math calculation is the ability to count, group objects, and compute simple math facts and operations.
Math problem solving includes examining the question to find the key ideas, choosing an appropriate strategy, performing the calculation, finding the answer and then re-checking.
IXL: All AL students grades 1-5 have an IXL login. Now is a GREAT time to review basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills using IXL. You can change the grade that your child is working in to review basic skills (for example, change your 4th grader's screen to the 2nd grade screen and practice those skills before moving on).
Prodigy: Many older AL students use Prodigy. Another great way to review math calculation skills. Use Mme Lasker's teacher code: BCF73C
Khan Academy: Khan academy is an amazing free resource. Here is the information page for parents. Your child's IEP case manager will be able to let you know specific skills to practice.

Math Aids: This is a great website where you can create worksheets targeting the specific skills that your child needs to practice. (It's a little fussy... lots of ads to avoid clicking on... but worth it!) Your child's IEP case manager will be able to let you know specific skills to practice.
Math Blaster: Lots of these are PDFs. But, you can show them on screen and ask your child to copy the problem onto paper. Copying from computer to paper (like copying from the board to paper) is a good skill to work on!
Math Stories: This is a paid site but they have a free page with good word problem solving strategies.
Math Antics: This YouTube math teacher rocks! If you need help explaining something to your child, he probably can help.
Envision Math: Please check with your child's homeroom or math teacher for their Envision login information.
