"The Maumelle Library and Community Playground are not official dismissal locations for students at MCES or MCMS. Families should use the carline at either school for student pick-up in the afternoons. Students who are designated as walkers and choose to go to the library or community playground are unsupervised and are not the responsibility of Academics Plus Charter Schools.  Thank you for your consideration in helping keep our students safe."

To opt in, please text "YES" to 68453, and you will be set for our system.  It's that easy!

APCSI District Updates

Pickleball Construction

The City is planning to construct pickleball courts and improve walking trails behind the Community Center.  Please see the construction area marked in black stripes on the map.  The contractors can begin construction as early as November 6th. When construction begins please be aware of the following:

1.  The gravel lot behind the Community Center will be fenced where people and vehicles will not be allowed.

2.  The paved path between the community center and Pine Forest will remain open to connect the MCES gate to the community center's back parking lot.  Drop off/pick up in the back community center parking lot will continue to be an option.

3.  The paved path that runs between MCES and the community center will be closed.  There will not be a paved path accessible from the MCES gate to the community center front parking lot.

Please be aware there will be construction crews in the back parking lot area that may include large machinery and vehicles.

Reminder:  The safest and official method of drop off/pick up is through the carline.  This is true whether there is construction or not.  Once the students exit the school property, parents assume the responsibility for the students.  School personnel only supervise school property areas.  There is no school supervision once students leave school property.

Thank You,

Rob McGill

MCES receives an 'A' rating from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education

“I am extremely proud of the students, faculty, and staff of MCES!  You have consistently been counted on to score an A rating over the past years, but the new grade level configuration brought new challenges.  You proved yourselves once again, even with the unknowns the new grade-level configuration brought. Keep up the great work and congratulations FALCONS!” – Rob McGill, Chief Executive Officer

Maumelle Charter Elementary has been recognized by the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas as a school where students demonstrated high growth on the ACT Aspire!

MCES received the following awards:

High Overall Growth (Statewide)

High ELA Growth (Statewide)

High ELA Growth (Central Region)

We couldn’t be prouder of the hard work our teachers, staff, students, and families have put into the education of our Falcons! It takes a village, and we have one of the best!
