OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE COLLEGE

• Best University Law Faculty – African Governance and Corporate Leadership Award by Institute of Government Research and Leadership Technology, 2012.

• 100% pass mark at the Nigerian Law School (2018)

• Ekop Naomi  Uwem  was  overall best student at the Nigerian Law School among over 6000 students in 2018.

• Ekop Naomi Uwem, graduate of the College of Law, ABUAD was a recipient of 13 prizes at the Nigerian Law School 2018.

• ABUAD graduates received 24 awards out of a total 36 awards by the Council of Legal Education.

• First University to partner with the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators to produce Chartered Arbitrators on graduation.

• 2016, 2018   and   2019   Best College in ABUAD from among six Colleges.     

• At the 2017 Bar Final Examination, the College of Law’s 3rd set positioned herself 4th out of 40 Universities with Law faculties in the country.

• 3rd prize in Criminal Litigation at the 2017 Bar Finals

• 1st prize in Professional Ethics at the 2017 Bar Finals

• 2018  NUC increased the admission quota from 180 to 300

• The recipient of the 2019 BOSAN Maiden Scholarship award by Akpan Anieti

• Fred Oyetayo, a graduate of the College of Law 2014 set among other excelling alumni is the CEO of Fresible and has received the following awards: FORBES 30 under 30 2019, TED Speaker 2019, AvuAd’s Creativity 1000 honouring World 1000 most creative minds 2019, Avance Media 100 most influential Nigeria Youth 2020.

• The College of Law students emerge triumphant at the 6th Annual Conference of the International Law Association, Nigerian Branch: on April 19, 2023. The conference culminated in a riveting debate contest between students from the University of Lagos and ABUAD. In addition to receiving the Championship Trophy, the College of Law students received several individual awards and recognitions and cash prizes from the former Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Bayo Ojo, SAN.
