The mission of NC secondary Career and Technical Education (CTE) is to empower all students to be successful citizens, workers and leaders in a global economy. The Alamance-Burlington School System CTE department provides a comprehensive program for students in grades 6-12. In high school, courses are offered in the following programs: Agriculture, Business and Information Technology, Family and Consumer Sciences, Health Sciences, Marketing, Technology, and Trade and Industry. Any student enrolled in a CTE course is eligible for membership in the Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) associated with that program. CTSO involvement affords our students the opportunity to grow as young adults through competitions, leadership experiences and career exploration. They also enhance students civic awareness and character development to help prepare them for further education or the workforce. WHS CTE offers students participation in the following CTSOs: FBLA, FCCLA, HOSA & SkillsUSA.
