Mrs. Drummond
Principal
On behalf of the staff of B. Everett Jordan, I am excited to welcome you to the 2023 - 2024 school year.
At BEJ, we understand that school is more that reading, writing, and mathematics, and we are committed to meeting every student's academic, social, and emotional needs. We believe that all students benefit from participating in activities that support communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. Through the integration of academic subjects with the arts, engineering, and technology, we feel that we can prepare all of our students to thrive in the 21st Century.
We understand that school, alone, cannot help prepare our students for the complex future ahead of them, and that we must work as partners with our families and community. We feel very fortunate to be located in a community that supports education, and we hope to continue this partnership for the benefit of all students. We encourage all of our families and community members to be active participants in the education of our students through volunteering, participating in our PTO, or participating in some of our special events including Fall Festival, BEJ Curriculum Nights, Arts Fest, or one of our musical concerts. Current research indicates that family participation in their child's school increases the likelihood of academic success for their child.
It is our desire to keep all families informed of what is happening at BEJ. Information will be sent to you through weekly classroom newsletters and weekly updates via our website, phone app, and social media accounts. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, we encourage you to reach out to your child's teacher or administrative staff. We look forward to beginning another successful year at B. Everett Jordan Elementary.
Sincerely,
Terri Hall Drummond, Ed.S.
