Junior Class Raking Day

The Class of 2026 Junior Class Raking Day service project will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024

Every year, members of the junior class, organize a community service project in November, on the staff professional day, which is a no school day for students. Students work with the Acton and Boxborough Councils on Aging and help senior citizens with raking and yard clean-up. All juniors were invited to participate in this annual tradition!  Students can contact Mrs. Dempsey at (mdempsey@abschools.org) for more information.

Comments about Junior Class Raking Day!

"Please forward this note of Immense appreciation to the organizer of the "raking" on Nov. 6. The group came in drizzly weather to deal with soggy leaves and were terrific. They were perfect-prompt, equipped, polite and hard working. What a fine tribute to ABRHS and the young people of today.  We are grateful and feel so lucky to have won this gift."

"They were overjoyed with the rakers today. They said they did a fabulous job and they said they were a great group of students. It is an event always greatly appreciated by our seniors."

" I want to express my appreciation for the work the Junior Class students did today at my house. They were absolutely great! Their efforts saved me a lot of extra work and they were especially diligent in accomplishing the raking. Top that off with their politeness and that makes for a very special effort. I am very pleased with their efforts - I told them that in person and I hope you will relay that appreciation to them again. And I also thank you for your efforts in organizing this wonderful service!"
