Our goal as From Waste to Worth Acton is to make Acton aware of how much food is wasted yearly, and how many people are suffering from food insecurity. Approximately 930 tons of food is wasted per year in Acton, Massachusetts alone, and roughly 34% of people in Acton-Boxborough experience food insecurity currently. This is why I started From Waste to Worth Acton, and we need your help to educate people about food waste and eliminate food insecurity in our town. Even the smallest of donations can make a huge difference. On our donate page, our GoFundMe donations go directly to The Greater Boston Food Bank, which partners with our local Acton Food Pantry and other non-profit organizations.
