Our team is made up of students at RJ Grey Middle School in Acton, Massachusetts, and we are currently doing a civics project for 7th grade Social Studies. Civics are all about getting engaged in the community so our team researched everything about  Acton-Boxborough, and found the perfect topic: Food waste and food insecurity. We were shocked to find out how many people suffer from food insecurity and how much food is wasted a year.
