Keyboarding

Developing keyboarding skills is important for all students, and can be especially helpful for those with disabilities. When students become fluent typists, they can more easily complete writing tasks and access spell check, voice-to-text, and other digital tools that contribute to more proficient and accurate writing.

In order for keyboarding to be a functional approach to writing assignments, students need to practice typing correctly and accurately. Beginning in grade 3, ABRSD students should use the online keyboarding programs and activities recommended in the implementation plan.
