Saturday September 27, 2025: Field trip to Chacoan Great House, Pueblo Pintado
Pueblo Pintado is one of the most beautiful of the Great Houses. It dates to AD 1060-61. We will also explore nearby smaller structures. The terrain is hummocky but easily walkable. Parking is close to the site.

Saturday, October 18, 2025: Field trip to Rinconada Canyon, Petroglyph National Monument.
Tour Guide: Archaeologist Nick Jarman, National Park Service
Leader: Ann Braswell
Special Rinconada Canyon Petroglyph Tour including Star glyph, Shalako, rattlesnake, parrot, masks, frog, and many more of the ~1200 petroglyphs in the canyon. The terrain is mostly flat, easy walking. Walking mileage, 2 ¼ miles. The tour is in the morning and will finish at noon.

-- Fall 2025: Explore Obsidian Sites with Steve Shackley. This trip is a follow-up to the Seminar where Dr Shackley discussed obsidian sites throughout the southwest. This trip is to Mt Taylor region.

Saturday May 18, 2024: Docent led tour of the Bosque Redondo Memorial at the Fort Sumner Historic Site.
Saturday July 13, 2024: Hike in the Santa Fe National Forest near Valles Caldera, Rabbit Mountain area, led by member and experienced hiker/guide Earlene Shroyer.
Sunday July 14, 2024, visit to the Albuquerque Museum’s exhibit “The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts”, Carol Chamberland will be our docent – always an outstanding tour leader.
