Animals at Night in Abington

Possums are native to the Abington area. They are one of the many animals that move around at night as we sleep. Overlook families have been sending in pictures of some of the different animals that are moving around at night or tracks that they see in the morning. If you take any pictures of animals at night or their tracks the next morning, please send them to Mr. Carroll (michaelcarroll@abington.k12.pa.us)

The Paul family submitted this picture. In the bottom right of the picture you can see what looks like a cat out for a midnight stroll.

The Paul family also submitted this picture. This photo is of a red fox. Fun fact: you can always tell when a red fox has been around because their urine smells like a combination of skunk and armpit!

Please feel free to submit your own nocturnal animal pictures to michaelcarroll@abington.k12.pa.us.
