Huanying,! Welcome to Mandarin Chinese class! My name is Vanessa Lai and please address me as Lai lǎoshī. Lǎoshī in Chinese means teacher. This is my 7th year at Abington teaching Mandarin Chinese. Prior to Abington, I taught Choir, General Music, and Mandarin for 10 years at a magnet high school in Philadelphia. I am originally from Taiwan but lived in Argentina for several years so I can also speak Spanish.
