Latin Club

Membership to the Latin Club is open to all levels of Latin students and anyone interested in Ancient Greco-Roman culture.

The club meets once a month. The aim of the club is to engage the students in activities not only centered on the Latin language, but other aspects of the Greco-Roman culture like food and customs. The survey of history and culture covered in class is supplemented by depictions in art and especially film. Other activities include acting out famous dialogues from plays in Greek or Latin, playing certamina (trivia contests), sharing students' own versions of myths, discussing ancient philosophy and reflecting on how Greco-Roman culture can be seen everyday life.
