Mr. Contreras is a new coach and teacher at ATEMS this year. In addition to coaching robotics, Mr. Contreras teaches Introduction to Engineering Design (IED) and Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM). He graduated from University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and he has been teaching for 9 years. His favorite part about robotics is seeing students become efficient coders.

Mrs. Volk teaches Engineering Essentials, Engineering Science, and Engineering Design and Development (EDD). She graduated from McMurry University, and she has been teaching for 3 years. Her favorite part of Robotics is the challenge it presents, and watching students persevere and develop new skills.

Mr. Long is one of the ATEMS Robotics coaches. He teaches PLTW Aerospace Engineering, Physics, and AP Physics.

Mr. Hope is one of the ATEMS Robotics team coaches. He graduated from University of North Texas, and he has been teaching for 15 years. He teaches Video Game Design, Principles of UAVs, Drones 2 - Robotics, and Drones 3 - Robotics. He is also the ATEMS esports coach. Mr. Hope's favorite part of Robotics is watching students use their critical thinking and problems solving skills to tackle a problem that most other students in high school don't get to experience.
