The Build Division is an essential part of Phoenix, Inc. We are in charge of the robot's design, building the robot, and testing the robot to ensure functionality. Build works closely with the Marketing team and work closely with Programming and Notebook. Even though the robot may not be the most important when it comes to scoring, it is still a major part of the competition.

Marketing is responsible for promoting and "marketing" the robot. We are responsible for creating a booth, organizing project promotions, creating a website, and fundraising. In preparation for competition, our booth team creates a kiosk to display our company's ideals and final product. Also, the Marketing Division promotes our product through fundraising and advertising. Our fund department must supply our team with money for shirts, travel, and etc. In addition to this, our creative services department establishes a shirt design and creates company logos. We created a website to advertise Phoenix, Inc. As a whole, marketing must communicate with all parts of our company (Build, Engineering Notebook, and Programming).
Since Marketing is such a huge part of Phoenix, Inc. our company commissioned several leaders to accomplish each of our many tasks.

The robot program begins blank. It has a small computer built into it, but it doesn’t know what to do. The Programming Division is tasked with giving the robot life. Unfortunately, the computer does not speak English. It speaks in a language called “RobotC.” We use RobotC to tell the robot where, when, and how fast it should go. Programmers are like translators. We work closely with the Build Division to ensure that we have a feasible program to complete the tasks that the robot is assigned. We tell it how to do everything. Programmers at Phoenix, Inc. also work with the Test Department of Build to ensure that the robot functions smoothly on the program.

Engineering Notebook is the most important part of Phoenix Inc. We are in charge of recording and documenting the whole process. Doing this proves that we were following the engineering process. The Engineering Notebook Division takes notes, writes papers, takes pictures, completes research, and rereads the notebook for errors. Engineering Notebook also documents what happens before we start and after we finish the final product. Also, the Notebook Division works closely with all the other branches of the company to get the information necessary for the notebook.
